3D electrical testing simulator

Practise inspection and testing on a virtual consumer unit and a 3-phase workshop — on your phone or computer. Pick up the tester, place the probes, read the result and record it on the schedule, exactly as you would on site or in the AM2.

What you can practise

Every test in the order you do them on site, each with a short guide:

The 3-phase workshop adds a TP&N board, a motor circuit and a 5-pin socket: phase identification, three-phase insulation resistance, supply voltages, phase rotation, Ze, PFC, RCD and Zs.

Practice schedule of test results with the R1+R2 box being filled in
After each reading, record it in the right box on a practice schedule of test results.

Frequently asked questions

Is the 3D testing simulator free?

Yes. Create a free iZapp account to use it. It runs in your web browser — nothing to install.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. It works on phones, tablets and computers. On a phone, turn it sideways — the bench is designed for landscape.

Will it help with the AM2?

It drills the parts people fail on: safe isolation, the order of tests, reading the tester and recording results on a schedule, plus fault finding. There is also a timed AM2-style mock. It is not the real AM2 rig, so use it alongside hands-on practice.

Which tests are included?

Safe isolation, continuity (R1+R2), ring final circuit, insulation resistance, polarity, live polarity, Ze, prospective fault current, RCD and Zs — plus a 3-phase workshop with phase identification and phase rotation.
