Community Guidelines

Do

• Ask questions, share knowledge and help apprentices — everyone started somewhere.
• Be respectful when you disagree. Challenge the idea, not the person.
• Point people to the right regulation or guidance where you can, and be clear when something is your opinion.
• Remember that anything you post on the message board can be seen by every logged-in user.

Don't

• Post anything illegal, including threats, terrorism content, fraud or scams, hate content, intimate images shared without consent, or anything that sexualises or endangers children. We remove it and may report it to the police.
• Bully, harass, intimidate, stalk or abuse anyone, or encourage anyone to harm themselves or others.
• Post sexual, pornographic, graphically violent or gory content, or content promoting self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, gambling or drugs.
• Post discriminatory content about anyone's race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or age.
• Share anyone's personal information (addresses, phone numbers, photos of their property or customer details) without their permission.
• Give advice that encourages unsafe electrical work, such as working live without justification, bypassing protective devices, or signing off work that has not been inspected and tested.
• Help anyone cheat in exams, assessments or the AM2, or share exam papers you are not allowed to share.
• Spam, advertise without our permission, post misleading links, or impersonate another person, company, college or scheme.
• Post content that infringes copyright, including copying large parts of BS 7671 or other paid publications.

What happens when you report something

1. Your report goes to our moderators. The person you report is not told who reported them.
2. We review reports as quickly as we can and aim to act within 2 working days — sooner for anything suggesting someone may be at risk.
3. If content breaks these guidelines or the law, we remove it. We may warn, suspend or close the account, and report illegal content to the authorities.
4. If you think we got a decision wrong, email hello@izapp.app with "Content appeal" in the subject and we will review it again.
