Purpose of initial verification

Initial verification confirms, so far as is reasonably practicable, that the installation has been selected, erected, inspected and tested so it is safe to put into service.

You are proving that
• The installation matches the design intent.
• Equipment is correctly selected and erected.
• No visible damage or obvious defect remains.
• The recorded results meet the relevant criteria.

Certificates
• New work normally leads to an Electrical Installation Certificate.
• Minor alterations without a new circuit may be covered by a Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate.
